Grassroots goes Hollywood: Wrangle meets FWQ

Big news announced today. The grass roots-good times-anti comp-but rad as hell WRANGLE THE CHUTE has been sanctioned by the IFSA to carry a four star FWQ (Freeride World Tour Qualifier) rating. That’s substantial given that there are only two 4* events in North America. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort’s inbounds terrain is sure to please the flocks of eager skiers coming from all over North America to try their boots at getting into the esteemed Freeride World Tour (FWT).

Things are bound to change for the once casual event. Rumours must have leaked that despite the lax attitude present the riding and terrain were actually mind blowing. Now the whole world will know. Time will tell if the soul shredders of the Kootenays will be booted out by aspiring superstars but regardless of any changes, good times will still be had and shredders will still shred. After all, how serious can you get with plastic and wood strapped to your feet?

Wrangle the Chute will happen on March 27th and 28th at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, BC.

It is an honor for the FWT and IFSA to be involved with this special event. Expect the vibe and the good times to remain the same (with the exception of out-of-town rippers babbling incessently about how insanely good KH is over beers in the bar after tasting the terrain) The crew behind the event will keep on keeping on and there will be many, many familiar faces working behind the scenes to ensure that Wrangle The Chute remains a unique fixture when it comes to big-mountain skiing and snowboarding.
