FWT19 STOP NUMBER ONE IN HAKUBA JAPAN IS JUST THREE DAYS AWAY

In just four days, the world’s best freeriders will begin their quest to become world champion in the heart of the Japanese Alps at the first event of FWT19.
Huge amounts of recent snow in Hakuba, a stacked line-up of riders including event wildcards Travis Rice (USA) and Taisuke Kusonoki (JPN), sets the stage for an epic competition in the world’s powder epicenter.
In addition to the main event, the FWQ 3* Hakuba competition will also be staged January 15-17th.
The Winter Begins and FWT19 is officially on in Hakuba, Japan!

A lot has happened in the past month in the athlete field and to our huge disappointment, a few athletes on the current line-up won’t be able to make it to Hakuba and for some, for the whole season. Let us give you the run-down.
For medical reasons, the following athletes are out for the season:
Rachel Croft (USA) – Ski Women
Ivan Malakhov (RUS) – Ski Men
Hank Bilous (NZL) – Ski Men
Konstantin Ottner (GER) – Ski Men
Sam Lee (NZL) – Ski Men
Due to an injury, the following athletes will not make it for Hakuba, but are hoping to be back as of Kicking Horse, Golden BC stop:
Leo Slemett (FRA) – Ski Men
Wadeck Gorak (FRA) – Ski Men
