Check Out Julbo’s New Aerospace Goggles
It’s not everyday that you see cool new technology in, wait for it… goggles. But the crew at Julbo decided they’d try adding a new twist to what Goggle’s can and can’t do. Their new Aerospace Goggle, launching for winter 2015/16, features a way to unclip your lens and create a nice air gap between the lens and the frame. Why? So that you can hike with your goggles on and not have to worry about fogging them up or melting your eyeballs with sweat.
The industry seems to dig what they’re doing, as they’ve already scored awards from ISPO, Gear Patrol, Gear Institute, and probably others.
I haven’t tested the Aerospace goggle, but so far I’m really digging the lenses on their Universe goggles. The same lenses will be available for the Aerospace.
While anyone going for a legit ski tour or climb should obviously have sunglasses with them anyways, this nifty new feature might come in handy for days when you forget your sunnies, or for quicker transitions when you’re just mucking about on hill or in the slackcountry.
