If the 12 feet of snow wasn't enough, winter in Whistler has now officially been ushered in. Kicking off on Thursday with Whistler Blackcomb's official opening day, Blackcomb opened with insanely good coverage, and eager anticipation of what was to come in the alpine.

But before opening day could be put to rest, Doglotion.com and 200 of Whistler's keenest shredders gathered at the GLC for the Whistler premiere of TGR's Anomaly - starring none other than Whistler's own Ian McIntosh. The flick opened with his ridiculous big mountian segment, and the rest of the film was spent trying to top him. Good luck with that.

After the flick, Worst Case Ontario nailed their first shot at a bar gig, and one lucky dude won the green slush chugging contest to take home a pair of Salomon Gun Labs from The Glacier Shop.

From then on, the wintry sillyness ensued. Blackcomb alpine opened on a clear day, followed by an downright nutty Whistler alpine opening on Saturday - with early season guinea pigs hitting Air Jordan, the Waterfall, Idiot's Air, and many more. Not a bad way to kick off the season.
