Contemplating life and Blackcomb peak. We waited in line for a little over an hour, even though we budded half way in. Shhhh don&#39;t tell anyone. Once we got up it was all worth it though. Emerald, Red and Garbanzo were open. We mostly skied the groomers as it was little bony off piste. We saw lots of good friends who had been all but non-existent the last six months. Funny how the snow brings us all together. It was easily the best opening day in years. 138cms was on the board, but seemed like better coverage than many Decembers that I can recall. We ventured over to Harmony waterfall area...some dudes were hucking the smaller parts even. That seem a bit dodgy to me...so we played it safe and found some fresh pow in the trees next to Chunkies.
