Doglotion.com is bringing TGR's latest Ski & Snowboard Film premiere to Vancouver - ‘Lost & Found’ - a 16mm/HD Ski & Snowboard Film, presented by JEEP. Packed with local Whistler talent, this is the must see premiere of the season. Yes it puts Warren Miller to shame. Add in the rockin' Party at the Peak after party by Kokanee, and you're in for an epic evening and white powder and revelry.

About the film...

LOST AND FOUND is the story of the extraordinary season of 2006.07 as seen through the eyes of world-class skiers and snowboarders. With global drought persisting and ski resorts closing around the world, athletes are forced to follow the snow, sending them deep into the uncharted north country of Alaska and Canada – including of course – the Whistler area. Filmed almost entirely in North America, LOST AND FOUND is a testament to the terrain and conditions that only exist in the Western Hemisphere.

It wouldn’t be complete without mind-blowing performances by some of our favourite Whistler athletes, Ian McIntosh, Dana Flahr, Kye Petersen, and Victoria Jealouse. McIntosh returns to try one-upping the films best breakthrough performance in last year’s film – his own – while Flahr is pumped on his return from injuries, and it shows. Once again, the Whistler crew pretty much shows the pros how we rock here in Whistler, and well, how last winter rocked us.

This film will take you into the vast, unexplored Tordrillo Mountains of Alaska, proving that some of the best big mountain riding in the world is still completely undiscovered. Athletes take advantage of the bountiful winter in British Columbia, hit disturbing park features in Aspen and score over-the-head powder pillows at Skeena Heliskiing. The winter of 2007 was feast or famine; LOST AND FOUND documents the feast.

TGR Rocked da House

Fireballs, powder, swag, slush chugging, big air, cheering, tomfoolery, and more. All on one night of revelry this past Friday in Whistler. The Doglotion.com crew brought TGR's premiere of their latest film to town, and LOST & FOUND didn't dissappoint. Definitely one of the best flicks yet, it got the attention it deserved with easily the biggest Whistler turn out yet - 2 packed shows - or just under 500 people.

The stoke factor was high, and the freshies on the mountain that afternoon only amplified it. Winter's coming indeed.

Kicking off the show was none other than the world premiere of Paul Cotton's Gaper Day 2007 film. Frickin' hilarious. What more can we say? Gaper Day, exposed in all it's gory detail. Watch for it online soon. With a few dozen gapers in the audience, the crowd went off for the whole 9 minute film. And anticipation is already mounting for what Gaper Day 2008 could hold.

Then onto the main show, an hour of DEEP pow, big lines, spines, big airs, and the Whistler boyz showing everyone how it's done. Ian Mcintosh, Kye Petersen, and Dana Flahr were all in the house, signing posters an cheering on each other's segments. McIntosh destroyed it, and opened the film in style. Then comes Kye blowing away any remnant stereotypes of being a freestyler, then just when the movie is starting to get too focused on mellow pow, wham, out comes Dana for some triple drops and good times.

Every segment in the film got huge props, and hell people even stayed to watch the credits.

Then on to the 'Horn for some Fireballs, Fire Ice & Dynamite themed flourescent decor, 80's beats, and a 4-girl chugfest stand off for the grand prize of the evening... a pair of DYNASTAR Big Troubles.

It was a close race but Victoria Cole from Whistler claimed the prize. Question is, was it worth it, now that this flattering photo has surfaced on the web? Hell ya it was, Big Troub's baby. (We have a better one, but we'll leave it to your imagination). And hey, notice there's no guys? Most dudes were too chicken to enter, hearing rumours of Fireball flavoured slush. But nothing could scare the girls away.

Until next year, have an epic winter, and if you ever need a little extra stoke, watch Gaper Day 2007 or LOST & FOUND and you'll be back at it in no time.

It's that time of year again. Just when Whistler ski season end's, and you briefly start to contemplate if there's actually more to life than skiing, suddenly out comes all this eye candy. They're not all out yet, but a few of the keener companies have already released their trailers for their 2007 films. Here's just a few teasers we've come across...

Match Stick Productions - Seven Sunny Days

Funny, the title reminds me of Whistler's winter. And since that's where MSP spends all their time, it's no surprise. There's gonna be some deeeep pow in this film, and some new faces. Looks like Heimer's in there!

Teton Gravity Research - 'Lost and Found' Teaser #1

Looks like the TGR boys will be at it again with multiple teasers, as this one's called #1, and again they're totally taking the piss out of themselves. Going to be another epic film, and you can bet Doglotion will be putting on a killer premiere for it in Whistler, BC.

Tanner Hall's Believe

Well, we all know he's one of the most talented shredder's out there, so I guess someone (or him) decided to make a film about him. Some good pow footie too, cause you know, taking the park into the back country is STILL the next big thing. Bringing the backcountry into the park just never worked out.

Theory-3 Media - PNW

Refining their flicks every year, Theory-3's 2007 film PNW is lookin'n pretty sweet. Well atleast the teaser is. Jeff Thomas and the boyz have done it again, but better. Looks a bit like a Tourism BC infomercial, but then again, how could it not be after a season like this. And we might add... while the big movie companies are too busy with their matrix heli cams, this film looks like it's actually full of some pretty insane skiing, that only eager up'n coming talent can truly provide.

Voleurz - More For The Astronauts

Whistler's own 'Voleurz' has put together a pretty funny teaser for their flick More for the Astronauts, featuring the likes of Josh Bibby, TJ Schiller and the Shusters. Check it out this fall.

Coreshot Films - Linescore

Bit of a new twist on a ski flick, these guys documented a season of Big Mountain ski competition. It will no doubt have some pretty gnarly footage.

JAMSKI

Uh, well, looks like a Euro jib flick, with it's own amateur rapping. Don't know how we came across this. But uh, word up. Ya, uh, the custom rap reminds me of Brad Holmes, but maybe the movie is better. Some good jibbing.

RAGE FILMS - Enjoy

This ones looking pretty sweet. Good mix of gnarly big mountain and cool jibbing, plus some good aesthetics.

Mack Dawg Productions - Picture This

Yes it's snowboarding, but it's also got to be one of the trickin' coolest teasers on the planet, ever. Hopefully the movie is just as good. As long as it doesn't cause too many people to switch back to snowlerboarding.

TGR Show and Weekend Rocked

If the 12 feet of snow wasn't enough, winter in Whistler has now officially been ushered in. Kicking off on Thursday with Whistler Blackcomb's official opening day, Blackcomb opened with insanely good coverage, and eager anticipation of what was to come in the alpine.

But before opening day could be put to rest, Doglotion.com and 200 of Whistler's keenest shredders gathered at the GLC for the Whistler premiere of TGR's Anomaly - starring none other than Whistler's own Ian McIntosh. The flick opened with his ridiculous big mountian segment, and the rest of the film was spent trying to top him. Good luck with that.

After the flick, Worst Case Ontario nailed their first shot at a bar gig, and one lucky dude won the green slush chugging contest to take home a pair of Salomon Gun Labs from The Glacier Shop.

From then on, the wintry sillyness ensued. Blackcomb alpine opened on a clear day, followed by an downright nutty Whistler alpine opening on Saturday - with early season guinea pigs hitting Air Jordan, the Waterfall, Idiot's Air, and many more. Not a bad way to kick off the season.

Jackson Hole is one of the rowdiest ski resorts in North America and has been a catalyst for some of the most progressive freeskiing and snowboarding in the world. Teton Gravity Research and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort present a 16mm film, THE BIG ONE. This film is a compilation of 10 years of TGR's most epic ski and snowboard moments at their world famous home laboratory in Jackson Hole, WY. From Paul McCollister's vision of North America's largest tram, TGR's inception in 1996, and the 10 years of off the hook action that followed, this is THE BIG ONE. Check out some of TGR's earliest stars as they reflect on the most memorable segments. “Sick” Rick Armstrong talks about the all-time huckfest during the filming of the Continuum. Micah Black sheds light on the 30-year record snowfall at Jackson Hole…possibly our deepest footage ever.
