Early Season Pow in Whistler

This season is off to a banner start in Whistler! Lot's snow coming in regularly and cold temps are allowing us to ski to the valley a lot of the time. Bottom line is it's sick! Enjoy the vid and pics from the last couple days:)

Balls Deep at the Longhorn Premiere Series in Whistler

Don't blink or you might miss a wicked ski movie premiere this fall. There's tonnes of'em, especially if you're Whistler based like us.  If you doze off and miss getting tickets, you'll just have to find some other way to fuel your stoke-o-meter before winter. Meanwhile those who do get tickets will be day-dreamin' of powdery radness for weeks to come...

Life Before and After the TGR Whistler Premiere

Normal people enjoy four seasons of the year. Obsessive skiers travel the globe chasing only one. I, on the other hand, divide the year in two; the wait from Gaper Day until the TGR/Gaper Day Whistler Premieres, and the blurry white mess of winter that spans until the next Gaper Day. This year was no exception.

The Wait is Over - Salomon Freeski TV is Back

SFTV is back! After a few summer months of waiting, Salomon Freeski TV is back with another season of hopefully equally epic freeskiing webisodes of Douglas, Abma, and the crew galavanting aimlessly around the globe, scoring retardo pow conditions and making us all jealous.

Prior Skis to Support Canadian Avalanche Association

Whistler based Prior Snowboard Manufactory Ltd just announced its affiliation and support of the Canadian Avalanche Association and the Canadian Avalanche Centre for the upcoming 2010/11 winter season. This partnership should help in the ongoing efforts to make the backcountry a safer place to ski and ride.

Spring Cat-Skiing Goodness at Backcountry Snowcats w/ VIDEO

An epic winter isn't complete without cat-skiing, is it? After weeks of awesome conditions in Whistler, the snow was finally getting harder to find in late March, and we momentarily didn't know what to do with ourselves. With months of pow behind us, we weren't about to settle for b-grade skiing, and knew there had to be freshies somewhere.
