Spring of a lifetime Part 1: Chamonix (with Video)

Wiegele World.......... WOW

For many skiers their first experience with Wiegele's was through the eyes of a Warren Miller film. Images of endless powder untracked lines fill your head. With an abundant early season snow fall rumours were surfacing that their might be some incredible skiing already, reminicent of conditions guests enjoy in February and March.

BD Athlete Xavier Leonti in Alaska

Black Diamond skier Xavier Leonti just shared the link to a pretty sweet edit from Alaska. Enjoy...

Snowday - Day 2

Today was a mixed day on Whistler mountain, with 51cm falling overnight recorded at pig alley station, which is located mid mountain at 1650m. The freezing level seems to have risen to just above mid station which means rain for the valley for now, however the stats for the upper mountain were quite amazing, 51cm overnight! November 16th!

Super C Couloir Head Cam

Easily one of the sickest runs of my life.

Vids From My Second Run in Chile

I decided to bust out the head cam on my second run in Chile:) Here's a little clip shot with the VIO POV cam. Unfortunately it's a little crooked on my goggles. But the snow is light and fast, however I was a little nervous still about sharks so I was taking er easy.

My First Run in Chile

Bluebird, blower and boot deep would be a good way to describe my first day skiing in Chile. Here's a little pic of me about 10 turns in taken by Mark Lassetter.

After 2 days of planes, trains, boats and taxis this was definitely worth it. What can I say...I wish you were all here with me:)

El Colorado Went from Bad to EPIC

Patience is a virtue. Our first few days at El Colorado were pretty weak - refrozen hardpack runs and funky visibility. We started to wonder what the deal with this place is. People were saying "shoulda been here a couple days ago" for the spring corn, or "shoulda been here 2 weeks ago" for the huge ass storm.
