Word on the street is that opening day at Revelstoke Resort totally rocked. The brand spankin' new resort (or atleast major mountain overhaul & new name) opened it's gondola doors yesterday, with plenty of pow waiting. Not surprising for an area that gets as much snow as they do. Unsure if any Doglotion correspondents were on the battle field that day or not, here's a quick link to the biglines boys who made the trip for opening day at Revelstoke.

Unmarked rocks and obstacles may be encountered on groomed runs. Please obey all on mountain signage and stay within bounds. Ski and ride with care!

Parking is available in the Village and Creekside Lots.

We're only a week or so into fall, and it's getting pretty obvious. Yesterday's cold temps and precip came down wet in the valley but white on the mountain. More signs that winter is creeping in, bring it on we say.

Early Bird Season Passes are still on sale until Oct 8, get yours and we'll see ya'll up here soon.

Snow in Whistler... on Sep 19... the countdown has begun. Bring it on, we're ready for it. Well, the Mountain Bike Park is still open and going strong for a couple weeks, but it's pretty exciting to see snow on the mountains. And we know there's plenty more where that came from, coming in October & November. Opening day is just over 8 weeks away - November 22. Where will you be?

Whistler Mountain set to open this Saturday, November 18  

A massive winter storm that has blanketed Whistler resort since Thursday night in 75 centimeters or 30 inches of snow, has precipitated the announcement that the resort will open earlier than expected. Whistler Mountain will open for the season this Saturday, November 18 from 8:30am to 3pm. Blackcomb Mountain will open as planned on Thursday, November 23.

A-Basin is  today Friday, October 13th!   RippinSkiers.com is making our best effort to have someone get up there to take some pictures!  Have a great day!!!  This is the earliest A-Basin has opened in years!
