Snow Piling Up In Fernie

Over a foot (+ 30cm's) of FRESH SNOW fell on Fernie Alpine Resort this past weekend and more storms are to hit throughout the week.

Ski Patrol checked out the fresh powder on Down Right on Sat Nov 21, 2009 (photo below). With 80-120cm of base at the top of the mountain, Fernie Alpine Resort is anticipating fantastic conditions for opening day on Dec 5, 2009.

Doglotion.com has heard from plenty of Fernie locals have been seeing the snow reports elsewhere and are pretty pumped for their own mountain to open. Soon enough...
