Mt St Elias Summit and Sea Expedition: The highlight was getting to the bottom and climbing back up, epic !!!!

Greg Hill World Record! Climbed & Skied 2 Million Feet

Most people make New Years resolutions about mundane things like quitting smoking, picking their nose less often, going to the gym more often, etc. Not Greg Hill, the man the myth, the legend. He must have woken up a year ago and thought "Hmmmmm, what should I do better this year.

New Years Goodness at Backcountry Snowcats

If the rest of 2011 is anything like the first two days then buckle up 'cause we're in for a wildly awesome ride. Think big tastey meals, 2 meters of snow consolidated into boot deep hero butter, blue skies, and, well you get the point.

Revelstoke is Open and Rocking

Any lucky shredders in and around Revelstoke will already know the resort is open, in full swing, and has been delivering the goods to kick off the 2010/11 season. We've been too busy stranded on the coast or in far flung places out east to get to enjoy what Revi has to offer so far this season, but from all accounts it'll shape into another epic winter.

Early Season Pow in Whistler

This season is off to a banner start in Whistler! Lot's snow coming in regularly and cold temps are allowing us to ski to the valley a lot of the time. Bottom line is it's sick! Enjoy the vid and pics from the last couple days:)

A Skier's Journey Episode 3: Freshfield Icefield

Even Kashmir and La Grave couldn't keep Jordan Manley away from home for long. In the 3rd and final episode of his webside series presented by Arc'teryx, he joined the boys at Sherpas Cinema for a kick-ass end of winter backcountry trip to the Freshfield Icefield near Golden, BC.

What I Saw First - Episode 1 by John Wells

The POV man is back. John Wells, the man often sighted with a GoPro HD helmet cam mounted to one part of his body or another, has decided to release as pretty cool webisode series this winter.  Aptly named 'What I Saw First', Wells takes us a on a ride to see, well, what he saw first.

The Wait is Over - Salomon Freeski TV is Back

SFTV is back! After a few summer months of waiting, Salomon Freeski TV is back with another season of hopefully equally epic freeskiing webisodes of Douglas, Abma, and the crew galavanting aimlessly around the globe, scoring retardo pow conditions and making us all jealous.

Prior Skis to Support Canadian Avalanche Association

Good to see the Whistler boyz stepping it up for backcountry safety. Whistler based Prior Snowboard Manufactory Ltd just announced its affiliation and support of the Canadian Avalanche Association and the Canadian Avalanche Centre for the upcoming 2010/11 winter season. This partnership should help in the ongoing efforts to make the backcountry a safer place to ski and ride.
