DEEP Week in Whistler

For anyone in Whistler, this has been a week to remember! Like the kind you tell your grand kids about. Speaking of kids, the quote of the week, said by a little ripper under the Glacier Express... "Mommy, I just ate snow and I didn't even have to use my hands!". He nailed it with that remark, summing up one hell of a DEEP week.

Wide Eyed Wednesdays - Deep Sledding, Plake, Mountaineering, and More

Back at ya with another Wide Eyed Wednesday. Better than hump day, we bring you all the best ski videos we've come across each week, so that instead of getting Rick Rolled on Youtube you can find all the goods in one place. We try to throw in a few obscure ones too. Here's this week's picks...

Art of Flight Trailer - Insane Brain Farm and Travis Rice Flick

There's epic, and then there's EPIC. Travis Rice, Brain Farm, and Redbull are apparently know a thing or two about the second one. Seriously, just when we thought 'That's It That's All' was enough of a mind-blowing snowboard flick, it looks like they've done it again, or still doing it.

We're back with another wide-eyed Wednesday, recapping another packed week of good video content in the ski world. Here's what caught our eye this week...

Wave Skiing Jaws

Salomon Freeski TV caught Chuck Patterson in the act of wave skiing Jaws! WTF!

Mountain Hardwear Medusa Glove Review

Mountain Hardwear's Medusa is a full-on winter glove. High gauntlets keep the snow out and your jacket sleeves up inside the glove which is key for keeping your hands warm and dry, especially when climbing in snow or ice or skiing deep pow.

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Jacket Review

Mountain Hardwear's Conduit Soft shell material is great for those cold dry days. This jacket is reasonably light, the soft shell is surprisingly waterproof and hard wearing, having not torn yet despite a couple of 'tree hugging' incidents!

Special Public Avalanche Warning - Jan 20, South Coast

Just a heads up for anyone planning on getting into the backcountry this weekend - there's a special warning out about a deep weak layer that has been ripping...
