Great spring ski gloves, but not a complete iPhone solution.

Now that it's closer to spring, we've finally had a chance to give our 180s womens gloves a shot.

Gear Review - Mountain Hardwear Bazuka Glove with Outdry

Overall Rating:

Suggested Retail Price:

10 Second Review:
One of the best pairs of ski gloves money can buy. Serious.

Yep, our first 10 out of 10 gear review. Kinda like the Nadia Comaneci of the ski glove world, but, um, different. Simply put, the Mountain Hardwear Bazuka gloves are the best gloves I've ever had, by a long shot. They're also most likely the first gloves I'll keep for more than a season without using duct tape.

Black Diamond Megawatt Ski Review

10 Second Review:
Super FAT ski for phat powder days and backcountry. Not an everyday ski.

If you're building a multi-ski quiver and are looking for the biggest and fattest pair you can find to slay some pow with, look no further. If you're like bashing gates and doing twinky turns, stop reading this review.

Dynafit Zzeus Boot Review: 2009-2010 TF-X

10 Second Review:
Solid touring boot with interchanging soles - gets the job done well.

Yes, it finally happened.  After years of dissing all touring boots for being soft and wimpy, I finally broke down and got a pair. We had a lot of volcanoes to climb and ski, making a lighter and comfier set up start to look pretty appealing. Hell we even put less-baggy pants on! The weapon of choice...

Zag Heli Gold 2009-10 Ski Review

10 Second Review:
Solid big mountain ski with enough rocker to keep it real in the pow.

When ZAG said they were sending 98mm-underfoot skis for our South American ski trip, you could say we were kinda concerned. 98mm? Big Mountain ski? Francois assured us they'd get the job done and then some, and hot damn, the man had a point.

Gear Review - Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket

Overall Rating:

Suggested Retail Price:

10 Second Review:
Killer light weight wind-stopper layer for spring touring or other spring/summer epics.

Jackpot. Been looking for an uber-light layer for spring/summer touring missions, and it just fell on our laps. Does that sound too over-eager for a gear review intro? Maybe, but it's true, or we wouldn't have written it. I really have been pumped to find a layer like this, and the Transition jacket nailed it.

Gear Review - Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Back Pack

Overall Rating:
8
Suggested Retail Price:
220.00
10 Second Review:
Awesome ski touring pack, easy ski attachments, almost everything you need. Get one.

We were pretty stoked to give the Mountain Hardwear Direttissima a burn on some ski mountaineering trips. Why? Well, pretty much because the ice axe strap doubles as a beer bottle opener! Dead serious. Pretty cool add-on for an otherwise all-function company like Mountain Hardwear. And hey, that's a function anyway, isn't it?

Men in Tights - Opedix Apparel Review

Overall Rating:

Suggested Retail Price:

10 Second Review:
Sweet for competing or racing, not so sweet for backcountry skiing.

It's not every day you catch Doglotion correspondents romping about in tights, let alone talking about how 'supportive' they are. If this sounds like the beginning of a soft-core porno to you, you're not alone. This might just be your lucky season, because our tights wearing habits have just increased. Only catch is, they'll be burried under some baggy pants. Sorry ladies.

SPY ZED Goggle Review

10 Second Review:
Sweet steeze, decent in the fog, and all you really need.
We've been giving the ZED SPY snow  goggle a run for their money lately, and they've been holding up to whatever we've thrown at them. What's there to test about goggles? With Whistler's magical mystery tour of weather - plenty.

Swany's X-Change II Ski Glove Review

Overall Rating:

Suggested Retail Price:

10 Second Review:
Wicked high end gloves for people who like warm fingers, dry hands, and good grip. Anyone?

With all the wacky weather lately, it was time to do some more gear testing, so we gave some Swany Ski Gloves a run for their money. The Pacific North West is where it's at for gear testing, 'cause no two days are the same.
