ALL NEW – WRANGLE THE CHUTE 2014
It’s like Christmas Day for big mountain skiers! The mostest funnest competition of the year, Wrangle the Chute, is back for it’s 6th reincarnation on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th. This two-day party is happening once again on the gnarly, pow filled chutes of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
There are big new changes for 2014! Most notably is the new venue. Located off the top of Terminator Ridge from a short boot pack, the north facing Truth and Dare chutes offer 3 times the previous vertical. There will be plenty of room to open it up like never before as well as all the playful hits we have grown to love from Wrangle.
This big new terrain will be accompanied by a big, new, official After Party. The Dudes alter ego band, High Kicks, will be melting faces at the Kicking Horse Resort Day Lodge Saturday night. After the awards dinner, the After Party will be open to public and the good times will ensue. Tickets are $10 to non-athlete or staff.
WTC is an invite only event allowing just 45 competitors this year. Men and women, ski and snowboard are all welcome to apply for an invite. Previous competitors and select athletes should already have their invitations. Once the invitation process is finished each athlete will be hand selected to compete. Applications can be in the form of resumes, videos, photos and competition results. Registration closes on Wednesday, March 19th so apply quickly!
Thousands of dollars of cash and prizes are at stake and skiers and snowboarders will be putting on one hell of a show to take it all home. Despite the competition, Wrangle is known for it’s party vibe and good times. With a previous athlete list including Dave Treadway, Logan Pehota, Crazy George, Austin Ross, Chris Turpin, The Lazy Crew and Dylan Siggers, you know you are in for a good time. Watch the action from the Eagle’s Eye with a BBQ and music or get right into the action and party with the athletes and a DJ at the bottom of the venue. Good times will be had all around.
For applications, registration or any questions email Brian Coles at firstname.lastname@example.org. See you at the Horse on March 28-29th.
