Place Category: Club Hut
A very basic gothic arch hut built and maintained by the BCMC. I believe it’s mostly used by summer climbers for exploring the surrounding Mt Waddington area. When we climbed/skied Waddington in May 2005 we chose to just camp lower down on ‘Rainy Knob’ instead of staying at this hut, because the hut location was in no way beneficial to our objectives. This hut may not belong in a map of ski touring huts, but hey, it’s there and it’s real, you’re welcome to stay there in the winter if you really want. 😉
