WTF Wednesdays - Everest Crowds, Gnar Descents, Quad Flips
Straight outta low-cash, just in time for winter to end (go figure), Doglotion.com is comin' at ya with a new weekly column for y'all to enjoy - 'WTF Wednesdays'. That's right. We comb the internet for you (or rather get inundated with useless stimuli and choose the stuff that catches our eye), then we compile it in this space every Wednesday for you to feast your eyes on. Or atleast that's the plan. Here we go...
Tragic Everest Chain Gang
We're sad to read that 4 climbers died on Mt Everest this past weekend, and that overcrowding on the mountain was a contributing factor. This image poached from SteepEdge pretty much says it all. Hardly a romantic image of the worlds tallest mountain.

Gnarly First Descent - Still Possible in Europe, Go Figure
OK we know French extreme-skier Remy Lecluse is a living legend. After skiing with him, a friend of ours couldn't stop talking about him for several weeks. But seriously WTF, how did this line look like a good thing for him and Boris Dufour to ski? Again the photo (poached from Boris Dufour and Arc'tyerx) below says it all. Read the La Grivola TR on Arc'teryx. Suppose its not insanely steep, but it sure would have taken some clever route-finding to pull that one off.
First Ever Quadruple Backflip on Skis
This has been getting passed around the internet this week like a dead hooker in the wrong part of town, but rightly so. It's so awesome! Steve Corbett of good'ol Vancouver, BC, throwing an absolutely massive quad backflip in Whistler in 1975. Kudos to MrIvan2143 for posting so many awesome retro ski videos from the archives.
