Sneak Peek at Mountain Hardwear's New Gear
With all the gear guide mags coming out in a few weeks, it's only fair that we beat them to the punch, sharing some more of the goodness we came across at the SIA Tradeshow in Denver this past winter.
Any tradeshow floor tour of course wouldn't be complete without a visit to our friends at Mountain Hardwear. Greg Sweeney from Mountain Hardwear Canada walked us through some of the highlights for Doglotion readers.
Among them, the new Q Shield technology for gloves looks pretty sweet. Anyone in the Pacific NorthWest will appreciate companies putting R&D towards waterproofing!
It was also cool to see a new take on ski touring backpack design. Mountain Hardwear gave backcountry ski guru Andrew McLean fee reign on backpack design, and the Chuter Series is what he came up with. Can't wait to get our hands on some and try them out.
And dare we forget the outerwear. Deeply rooted in performance oriented, high-quality outerwear for alpinists, Mountain Hardwear is now paying more attention to style and fashion as well - a killer combo. Basically you can pick out the suits you like, and know that functionally they're going to kick ass, because its Mountain Hardwear. Ain't that handy. And of course, we may be a tad bit biased. After all, the Doglotion crew will be sporting these very outfits next year.
