Up Close at SIA 12 - Dynastar Cham Series and Lange XT Boot
After coming back alive from Doglotion.com's 3 month relocation to the big mountain mecca of Chamonix, France, it seems only fitting to publish our SIA glimpse at Dynastar's Cham series of skis for 1213. You've probably seen plenty of glimpses of them on the hill, and believe us, they were out in full force in Chamonix. Now they're no secret as Dynastar has already hyped up the Cham Series on their site, but worth sharing the beta we got at SIA nonetheless.
If Dynastar Team rider Forrest Coots' experience is any indication, these skis charge hard and are super versatile. Dare we forget his first week in Chamonix, when it hadn't snowed in 7 weeks, yet forest was skiing steep couloirs on his 128s!!
We're let Nick from Dynastar walk you through the line up. What caught our attention the most was the stiff, tapered tails. Sounds like a pretty damn good call.
And then for some on snow action, here's a wee edit from Forrest Coots' Chamonix trip. Good times indeed.
On to boots, Dynastar/Lange is also coming out with their Lange XT, a true alpine boot with a walk mode. It's definitely something people have been keen to see from this uber popular boot manufacturer. We didn't get a lot of beta on their performance. We gather they ski well (of course, they're Langes), though the ski/walk mode lever may be a bit finicky or need refinement.
Here's Nick again, giving us the rundown.
