Doglotion's I5 Volcano Assault Has Begun
Game on. Volcano hunting season is open. Eight of us Doglotion.com skiers, friends, and imposters have piled into 2 cars and as I type we're bombing it down the I5. Our plan? Still a bit hazy, and despite the 8 skiers there's only 5 mounted pairs of skis in the thule. Hmmmm. WIsh us luck. Oh, and we don't have any maps.
Our objective? Ski as many volcanoes as we can in a week. Or something like that. First stop Mt Shasta, California, hopefully followed by Mt Hood, Mt Adams, Mt Rainier and Mt Baker. And the best part is we don't even need to live on an isolated glacier for a week. We can just bag a peek, drive, sleep at a trailhead, and repeat. Sleep would be nice, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
And with the I5... comes the World Wide Interweb. Everywhere you go. Stay tuned for (somewhat) regular blog posts and live 'Doggy Tweets' as this 8-pack hodge-podge of skiers works our way from peak to peak. As they say, what goes on in Vegas (or this road trip), stays on the Internet.
