I've always enjoyed your adventuresome trip reports. By not leaving out mountain names you inspire others to get out into some of the same remote areas. Humble and talented, thanks for sharing.
damn, the conditions looked plenty right just as I was hopping on a plane to a lame (ok kinda fun) SIA tradeshow in Denver. That looked like a money week while I was away, and I now lots of similar lines on the Duffey got hit.
Hope the Whistler weather goes back to winter and the backcountry gets prime for March and April assaults, cause Kashimr is full of mellow sub alpine pow skiing right now.
It feels so good to see a lot of skiers coming to Gulmarg these days. I was in gulmarg last weekend and it felt so nice to have a lot of guests from around the world. it is special for we Kashmiris to see things coming to normal again.
I am sure you will enjoy the hospitality of kashmiris
I wish you luck ...i know a lot of snow is on its way to gulmarg...so enjoy and take care while skiing down from Affarwat :)))
Hope to catch you guys in gulmarg over the weekend......
nice one John. looked like video was missing before so I added it back in. keep an eye out for the 'change to plain text' link below the editor in order to get your video code in there next time. bit cryptic, perhaps i'll add a bigger button.
that chute looks sweet, i shoulda snuck away for that lap.
It was the storm snow that moved on a wind crust. The new snow was deposited with South easterly winds. The hand hardness was easy and this was a pop for sure. The temp was most likely -3 by mid day.
