"Summer" seems to be here, so we're back with our weekly "Wide Eyed Wednesday's" column, bringing you the best ski related news and eye-candy for you to feast on.

From record snow in Whistler to powdery wanderings in the French Alps, the last 2 winters have yielded some pretty damn epic adventures for me. But something was missing. vibrant Kootenay characters, better known as the Gathering, is back in Rossland for a 5th year, March 25-31, 2013, presented by Salomon.

Hitting up the Salomon Freeski booth at SIA is always a highlight, and not just because I left with some new goggles! This year was no exception, revealing lots of goodies for skiers to look forward to for 2013/14.

Tradeshows are wrapped up, and we've had our fair share of schmoozing and perving on next year's gear. We'll be comin' out with new 2014 ski gear sneak peek's every couple days. First up, Rossignol and their much-hyped revamped 7 Series - leading with the all-new Soul 7.
