Winter Is Nearer - Good or Bad Thing?

Oh SNAP! There's a dusting of fresh snow in the mountains around Whistler, and the issue of Powder Magazine just landed in my mailbox. Boooyaaa, winter's here!

Or wait, it's August, and my boating license also came in the mail. Hells ya summer!

What are our poor innocent minds meant to think? Get twitchy with excitement for winter, counting the days and nights until opening day? Pack your bags and fly south to Argentina like Doglotion co-hort Andre Charland did yesterday?

I say deal with it, live in the now, milk every last relaxin' moment of summer, and bank that oh-so-sweet thought that if and when summer goodness does end... it'll only get better for skiers, 'cause winter will be right around the corner.
