Austrians cheer the longest day of the year with huge bonfires on various mountains. For everyone here at Kästle, we also cheer it for another reason: Days get shorter now, which means Winter is coming.
Lotta work for everyone here in the office, though all the guys and also our girls through in quite some biking, rock climbing, swimming and also soccer. We decided to take all Fridays off in July so we can be more in the outdoors and with our families. 6 months of winter take their toll, and we are happy to have a balanced year, and not having to do summer business as well.
What's on the way? Work on various levels, pretty much! First and foremost, new products coming for next year. We think of this crisis a a good point to grow our business. People want more for their buck now, which should be good for us. We have some neat stuff in the pipeline, going fatter with both the Big Mountain skis as well as the mountaineering stuff. First prototypes are on-snow, and we prepare more for the Chilenean summer. Davenport will be spending two weeks in Portillo and test pretty much everything there.
Other than that, more of business stuff: resigning athletes, preparing a new website, all sorts of marketing tasks.
So thanks for having us here, and we'll keep you posted faa shoo.
Oh - good news: Hugo is planning to moving back to Pemberton year-round. As much as he loves Tofino for the surf, there are some coole reasonss for him to move back.

welcome guys. nice to see you in the community. Stoked to here about the new skis. Just got back from a ski mountaineering mini epic of our own. 4 cascade volcanos in 6 days, Shasta, Hood, Adams, and Rainier (1.5 times, long story, even longer day).
Cheddar has unpacked the last of the gear junk and is headed back to Pembi himself, where he'll no doubt remind the surf bums in town that there's still sweet turns be had year round.
Stories, photos and videos coming soon.
