Sorcerer Lodge
The lodge is three stories high. The first floor has a drying room/entrance with a propane heater, a self contained and fully-equipped kitchen, a living/sitting room, sun room and dining area. A large deck outside is perfect for beer and a BBQ on those sunny spring afternoons. The lodge is warmed by a wood stove in the sitting room. We mainly use solar power for lighting.
The second floor has four separate bedrooms with a variety of sizes and types of sleeping arrangements -- from a room with a double bed, to a room with bunks. The third floor is a rather funky loft area with lots of room, and several semi-private sleeping quarters for people who might like their own space.
A wood heated sauna, complete with changing room is in a separate building.
Sorcerer was built to access some challenging and beautiful backcountry skiing. We tend towards the slightly more aggressive terrain with many of our trips over glaciers and up some stunning peaks. Mt Iconoclast at 10,666 ft is one of the larger peaks in this part of the Selkirks. We have extensive tree skiing for poor weather days and a 20 year track record of good snow and happy clients. Because Nordic Glacier is a giant north facing ice field, we have a longer season than many areas and can offer good skiing into May.
