Elfin Lakes Shelter
About as popular a hut as you can get, Elfin Lakes Shelter is right in the heart of the Diamond Head section of Garibaldi Provinicial Park accessed from Squamish, BC. It's popular for it's easy and well-marked access, proximity to Vancouver, sub-alpine touring potential, and gorgeous setting.
While the mellow tree skiing or snowshoeing is what the hordes of people come for, the hut serves as a base-camp for some pretty stellar ski mountaineering options. You can use it to get closer to Mt Atwell, Mt Garibaldi, or even as far as the Glacier Spires etc if you have some extra days.
