After almost six weeks with a pathetic amount of snowfall, the Kashmiri snow gods finally had a can of whoop-ass in store for us. With 1.5 meters in the forecast, some skiers fled the resort knowing it was their last chance to catch a flight for days to come, while other’s bunkered down to see what the storm would yield.

Yep, the gates to ski movie teaser hunting season has officially begun. As always, Doglotion will be sure to release the teasers as soon at they come out. First off - MSP Films’ new release, “IN DEEP: The Skiing Experience”. 

Australia and New Zealand have been enjoying plenty of precip this year with a great snowpack, but things turned sideways at Perisher this weekend. 3 separate unrelated skier deaths occurred, including two avalanches and a tree collision. 

Batten down the hatches. Run for your lives. Train hard. Do some push ups. Drink some cheap beer. Stretch your groins... Gaper Day 2008 is less than a week away in Whistler!

Fifty-nine Junior competitors this week (Jan 8th, 2007) completed the first leg of the 2007 Canadian Open Freeskiing Championship presented by Ledcor in harsh weather conditions.

The Swedes are at it again, here's their New Generation Events release...

It rocked last year, and you would be a fool to miss it this year. The New Generation Events will be the most elaborate ski event of the season in all of Scandinavia and possibly all of Europe. The New Generation Events return for the third consecutive year, as part of the FIS Alpine World Championships 2007 in Åre, Sweden.

While most of us are sitting on our butts waiting for winter to show up, Kit DesLauriers, Rob DesLauriers, David Hahn, Jimmy Chin & Bryce Brown just waltzed on over to this wee peek we like to call Mt Everest, and skied it. A first ever for a female. At least that's the details we've made out. It's all over the web, rather than spreading false rumours we'll let you read it for yourself...

Sept. 15. It's on. Snowing in Whistler. We were wearing shorts in 27 degree weather a couple days ago, and now this? hells ya.

Cardrona Alpine Resort is this week being transformed into a snow sports arena as final preparations take place before the inaugural Coca-Cola Cardrona Games kick off on Thursday.
