Ask and you shall receive. Well, a huge amount of spring snowfall and cold temperatures doesn't hurt either. Whistler Blackcomb has announced the decision to extend skiing and riding on Whistler Mountain by one week.

Is it just our imagination, or are chicks who rip on skis coming out of the wood work these days? They're everywhere, and it's awesome! More girls at Big Mountain freeskiing competitions, a few girls-only movies coming out, and we keep overhearing quotes like, "Dude, that was a chick!". 

Sun on the first day of December? High pressure in the forecast? Could it be true? Hard to believe, after what was officially the snowiest month on record at Whistler Blackcomb, dating back to when the collection of weather data began 30 years ago. Yep, November 2009. Were you there?

Doglotion.com caught up with Jeremy McClure, the ski bum whistler shredder from SFTV Episode 4 to find out how it all went down...

Doglotion: Jeremy, how the hell did you end up starring in SFTV Episode 4?
Jeremy: Well I kinda heard they were looking for a ski bum and offered my services because there was possible some free gear involved.

Despite the abundant rumours about 'No Fly Zones', Whistler Heli-Skiing will remain open throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, giving skiers and riders the chance to carve fresh tracks on 432,000 acres of powder-loaded terrain, all season long, beginning on December 5, 2009.

There's something blazing up on Blackcomb Mountain and for once we're not talking about Blackcomb freeskier Alex Blais. Nope, we're talking about lightning, thunder, and subsequently a huge-ass fire blazing on Blackcomb Mountain in the Crystal Ridge area. The news of the wildfire is spreading like, well, like wildfire!

This weekend, yes WEEKEND, May 2 & 3, we were shredding epic spring corn laps from the top of Glacier Express on Blackcomb to the bottom of Crystal Chair and beyond, without passing a single person. Just one or many ways you can tell the 2009 TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Fest has come to a close. That, and the ringing in the back of your ear's if you were here for it.
